Friday YouTube and waaait for iiiiit…

On Sunday something happened to me that’s kind of a big deal. I don’t want to spoil the fun now because I won’t have a picture to demonstrate the full ensemble of this… thing until tomorrow sometime, so hang in there.

I’d have you all guess but I’m thinking those of you who know me in a face-to-face way probably know already, and the rest of you probably wouldn’t know even if I gave clues because it pertains to something work-related and specific.

Now that I’ve taunted you with a surprise, here’s what I’ve been up to in between my 36 hour work week!

My best friend has taken away all hope of productivity when I’m not on the clock by introducing me to Parks and Recreation. To give credit where credit is due, our friend Anne introduced her to the show, or at least got her to finally watch it. So yes. We’re both hooked. I’ve watched about as many hours of that show as I’ve worked this week. Maybe not quite. But a lot.

This makes me laugh every time. The Tom Face! He looks like a muppet! I want this face on my phone. To make me grin. All the time.

This is sort of awesome and funny at the same time because I have a manager named Matt who’s danced competitively. I mean, immediately when I saw a guy dancing in a video I thought of Matt. And that’s his name, so it’s all connected. Except my manager says, “I dance way better than him.” I’m sure it’s true. I’ve seen his Back of the House spin.

Because I couldn’t leave you without another cheesy cartoon opening. I never saw so much as an episode of this. Even I have my limits.

Dr. Who is Casually Awesome
I have now reached the “Tennant Season” of Dr. Who. I love him, but Eccleston will be missed. *moment of silence* Anyway! This had me in stitches! Unfortunately, that’s another woman in Rose’s body, but it’s the Doctor’s comeback that kills me.

I’m also still watching that Korean drama Summer Scent (Episode 17 and the girl finally put two and two together!) but I won’t torture you with clips.

It’s a little bit pathetic how much I love(d) this show. It’s quite intoxicating. Like cheap wine. And I am now using it as a coping method for unreasonably sad episodes of Game of Thrones where characters I was attached to don’t survive the broadsword politics.

I dare you to listen to that song upwards of  3 times a day and not get it in your head. For anyone at work who wonders what I’m singing when I say, “The mehmaid theme song!” this is it.

Except we recently went through Season 2 where everything is bonkers. I hate Charlotte. Hate her so much. Airy-voiced little boyfriend-stealing red-head of SHAME! *sniffles* Lewis and Cleo belong together. (She really does upset me a lot.)

I have a busy weekend ahead of me with work, watching Game of Thrones, consuming Kahlua cake, and going to a Renaissance Faire, so here you go, lovelies.

YAY IT’S LAZY TOWN! And yes, I’m a creepy person who always wanted Sporticus and Stephanie to be a couple. GASP!! I should look up fan fiction! Also, take note that these are some of the only “fake people” I’ve ever watched. Never saw more than one episode of Mr. Rogers because the puppets scared me half to death.

Back in the day, this was the most beautiful love story I’d ever seen. I mean… of course it still is! Don’t know what I was thinking, speaking in past tense. Sometimes I scare my coworkers because they’ll mention some obscure animated film and I’ll sing the entire theme song to it. Hehe. I know all the songs to Swan Princess. *proud grin*

Mr. Blue Sky – Duncan James Ice Dances

Okay, this is too good to pass up. Duncan James, British pop star (why yes, I purchased his music) ice dances to a favourite song of mine. E.L.O was/is a huge part of my life. Dad always played their albums in the car during road trips (the only “secular” music he listens to) and I love them quite muchly. And I also LOVE ice dancing! So it’s a win-win-win! Hee.
